August 2011We just returned from our stay at It SHore Is Nice. We had an amazing time. The cottage was equiupped with everything that we needed, even sand toys and life jackets.
As a child I spent the summers on Keuka Lake with my grandparents. They were some of my fondest childhood memories, I wanted to give my 3 girls the same chance to have fond memories of Keuka Lake. The kids had a great time. fishing, swimming, and kayaking. We even drove into Penn Yann to go blueberry picking. Thanks again for a great vacation. We will definately be back in 2013. (2012 vacation is already in the works!)

August 2011We had a wonderful 2 week vacation at "It Shore Is Nice." It's a lovely cottage, very well-appointed, and great location on the lake. So many details were thought of that aren't usually found in rentals, ie sun curtains for the deck, first aid kit, sunfish for sailing, modern appliances and grill, wireless internet, Bose radio, etc. We especially enjoyed being able to eat all our meals on the deck! (Suggestion: bring your hummingbird feeder and you'll see lots of activity!)
We look forward to returning to "It Shore Is Nice!"
(Minor suggestion: new coffee maker, new measuring cups and measuring spoons).

July 2011We spent two glorious July weeks at It Shore Is Nice and thoroughly enjoyed our taste of Keuka Lake living. The cottage is tastefully decorated and has every amenity you could possibly think of – you only need to pack your swimsuits, beach towels, a few clothes and a desire to enjoy, explore and relax. You can’t beat starting your day with breakfast on the upper deck!
My family made good use of the kayaks and the Sunfish sailboat. Herb discovered that he enjoyed sailing and the challenges it provided! We rented a pontoon boat for the two weeks and had enjoyed taking that out to eat at lake front restaurants along with boat rides touring the lake. We toured a few wineries and wandered around the Hammondsport shops. The cottage being located ½ way between Penn Yan and Hammondsport worked out well for us. The weather was so beautiful we really didn’t want to be away from the cottage and time in and on the lake.
It Shore Is Nice was the perfect spot for us. The entire rental process went smoothly and Kelly and Ed were great to work with and truly have a lovely Keuka Lake rental property.

June 2011Our 2nd year at the cottage was even better than the 1st. Our kids & grand kids joined us & it was wonderful. We did the wine trail, swam, fished and I even learned to Kayak. There was mini-golf & ice cream one afternoon plus a visit to Longs Books. Dinner the first night at Union Place - great Italian food. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a great vacation!

June 2011We enjoyed yet another delightful week at the cottage! Gave us the opportunity to kick-back for a bit while still being connected to the office. Just hearing the water lap against the shore is therapeutic! Found new places to explore and revisited old favorites. Always love coming back to "It Shore Is Nice!"

August 2010We had a wonderful vacation! Loved, loved, loved breakfast, lunch and dinner on the wide porch overlooking the lake. The kids were delighted with their sky high loft. August 2009We arrived to a meticulously clean house and were pleasantly surprised to find a basket of goodies waiting for us including a bottle of local wine, specialty spices and coffee. The house was well equipped with all the comforts of home (especially the kitchen). Our family of 5 had plenty of room and enjoyed our stay immensely. Kayaks and a sunfish sailboat were available for use which the kids, mom and dad put to good use. From a quiet cup of morning coffee to watching the sunset the multi-level covered porches provided a crows view of the beautiful lake – "It sure was Nice”. What a lovely setting!
I highly recommend “It Shore is Nice”!!

We just returned home from our week at your rental cottage. It was beautiful there, inside and out, and you really thought of everything we could possibly need- from the lemon squeezer and ice cream scoop to the life vests and first aid kit. You could write the book. We also enjoyed the white binder with helpful and interesting information.
The kids had a great time jumping off the dock, fishing and kayaking. They liked sleeping in the loft and roasting marshmallows over the bonfire.
Thanks for the welcome basket and all of your thoughtfulness in setting up the cottage. Hope you are enjoying your summer.

What a wonderful week we had on Keuka Lake. The cottage was perfect
for our family, places to be together and places for solitude,
beautifully decorated, comfortable, and included extras that made the
week fun for the younger set as well as the older (me). The kids
loved kayaking, we used the sunfish after refreshing our skills using
the instruction booklet, and fished off the end of the dock.
Swimming, campfires, samoras rounded out the days. The cottage
provided everything we needed. Fortunately, the weather was mostly
cooperative and we hated to leave.
Coming home to Penn Yan was nostalgic. As a teenager I worked at
Senaca Farms and Longs was in its infancy. Some things had changed,
others not at all. I was able to attend my high school reunion on
Saturday night where I briefly relived my earlier life among 18 year
olds.
It Shore is Nice is at the top of our list for 2010 vacation plans.

June 2009We loved our stay on Keuka Lake! We found wonderful things to do within a short drive of the cottage, and filled our time at the cottage with fun as well. My kids had a ball wading into the lake at the rock beach and hanging out on the dock spying fish in the clear water. I had a good time sampling some Finger Lakes wines, and my husband decided that he enjoys fishing more than he had thought. The cottage is well appointed, with a great kitchen, beautiful views, and nicely separated spaces for the kids and adults. We hope to come again.
